The incidence took place on Wednesday morning when Pratap Nagar police was informed by the relatives of a 40 year old woman Sugandh Bai that her dead body was lying in one of her rooms, but when the police reached at the victim’s house at Kanpur the victim was found alive and moved her hands a bit while the police was verifying her death on the spot, police said.
Everybody was stunned with the turn of events after which the victim was shifted to M.B Hospital for medical aid as she was in unconscious state.
On Tuesday morning Sugandh Bai left her house at 11 o’clock saying that she was going the market, but when she didn’t turn up till the evening her relatives started later lodged a missing person complaint at Pratap Nagar Police station after which a search operation was launched.
But the scene turned serious when the woman was found lying in her house with hair disheveled and clothes messy. Seeing her in such a condition, the relatives assumed her dead and immediately called the police on the spot, police added further.
After gaining consciousness, the victim woman informed the police that on Tuesday morning instead of going to market she went inside the store room of the house and had consumed sleeping pills following the demands of her children. She also informed that she lost her husband 10 year back and since then she was running a small general store at her house to bear the daily expenses of her family, but due to the increasing demands of her children she got frustrated and took such a step, informed by the police.
