Despite injury, Police Constable arrests Accused Jeep Driver

Reserve Police Line’s Constable, in a heroic attempt nabbed a jeep driver who infringed the barricading at Gogunda toll booth. Despite of the jeep hitting the constable and fracturing his both legs, he allegedly nabbed the accused thereafter.

Reserve Police Line’s Constable, in a heroic attempt nabbed a jeep driver who infringed the barricading at Gogunda toll booth. Despite of the jeep hitting the constable and fracturing his both legs, he allegedly nabbed the accused thereafter. 

Constable Laxman Singh, as per the orders of the police, with his team was barricading at the Gogunda toll booth as part of election duty. On 26th January, in the evening, a jeep from Jaswant garh came near the toll booth. Instead of stopping, the jeep tried to cross, however it hit the constable who attempted to halt the jeep.

According to the sources, allegedly the constable despite being hit severely, with his team ran behind the jeep and nabbed the driver. The driver identified as Mukesh Meghwal was arrested under 307 IPC and 353 IPC for creating hurdle in the government actions. He was produced in the court today, after which he was sent for judicial custody.

In the mishap, the constable fractured both his legs and his rifle was also damaged.
