Balveer Singh, an accused of theft, was arrested by Dhan Mandi police on Sunday. The accused was arrested during an investigation of a theft case at a temple situated at Dhan Mandi area. In the preliminary interrogation, a number of silver articles were recovered from him.

During investigation, Dhan Mandi police received a clue regarding a recent theft that occurred in that area. Following the clue, the accused was rounded off and brought to the police station for interrogation where he admitted stealing silver ornaments from the temple. Besides this, he also revealed stealing a bike and silver articles from a temple situated in the Ghanta Ghar police station circle, said SHO Rajendra Jain.

SHO also added that the accused is a habitual offender and is allegedly addicted to drugs. The recovered articles are seized by the cops who is expecting to retrieve more information regarding a number of temple thefts that happened in the city.
