Udaipur police arrested two people from Balaghat (Madhya Pradesh) under the charges of cheating in the name of investment.

The accused, Vishal Tandi and Vikrant Tandi were absconding from last one year. They allegedly took money from number of people from Udaipur with the promise of huge returns. But soon after raising funds, both fled away.

In June 2013, Hiran Magri Police received three complaints against the accused. According to the police investigation, Vishal’s wife and Vikrant’s mother are also involved in the crime, but both of them are still at large.

In 2011, the accused had started a chit fund company, M/S Green Revolution Marketing Pvt. Ltd at Sagar Krishna Complex. They started contacting people and lured them with their investment plans. They took the amount between Rs.3000 to Rs.2 Lacs from many individuals before running away from Udaipur.

Vishal was the director of the company while Vikrant used to be the manager. They also took money from the victims with promise of jobs.

The police team under the direction of Dr. Rajesh Bharadwaj (ADSp City), Goverdhan Lal (Dysp East), Vradhi Chand (SHO Hiran Magri Police Station) raided several times at their native place in M.P but they were nowhere to be found.

Both of them were produced in court yesterday and taken on 2 day Police custody for further interrogation of the case.
