In a big catch today, Udaipur police nabbed an accused trafficker and recovered drugs worth lacs from him.  The catch came as part of the drive against drug trafficking that is being run by Udaipur Police under the instructions of Mahesh Kumar Goyal.

As part of the drive, Pratap Nagar Police got information regarding smuggling of Brown Sugar last evening. Acting on the tip-off  C.I Pratap Nagar Police Station, Ladu Ram Choudhary and his team, under the directions of Dy SP West , Dayanand Saran deployed a Nakabandi at Zinc Chouraha at around 7.30 pm last evening.

Police informer informed them that a man coming towards Udaipur from Dabok side was carrying  Brown Sugar with him on his bike. The suspect was stopped and during his search exercise, drug was found in his pocket.

The accused has been identified as Ratan Lal Jaat (42) and is a resident of Kakria village, Chittorgarh. He has been booked under NDP Act for illegally carrying Brown Sugar. The accused informed the police that he was going to Udaipur with an intension of sell the drug, as per police.
