The Surajpol Police arrested Nikesh Roth, a resident of Dungarpur from his friends house yesterday.

Nikesh, resident of Shivaji Nager, Dungerpur, was arrested following a long search operation on charges of rape, after he was booked on these charges in September this year.

The charges were booked after a Nursing student lodged a complaint against the accused. Nikesh has been on the run since September, and the Police have been on the lookout for him since then.

The victim, a Nursing student, was going to Nagor from her house in Dungerpur. When the bus reached Udaipur, Nikesh approached her and took her to the room of one of his friends and raped her, as per the complaint.

The victim also revealed that Nikesh was her neighbor and when he asked her to come with him in Udaipur, she went along with him without suspecting any foul play, as they were neighbors in Dungarpur. Nikesh and his friend fled away from the house after committing the crime.

Now that the accused has been nabbed, Police will further investigate the matter.
