Relatives of victim waiting outside Hospital

In an outrageous incident that was reported today afternoon at Ambamata Police station, a 65-year-old man was admitted to ICU ward of MB Hospital after suffering serious injuries in a fatal attack by his own relative over a family issue.

The victim Gopsingh’s (65) condition is said to be critical while the alleged attacker Vikram Singh is at large.

According to the victim’s family, Vikram Singh is a husband of Gopsingh’s granddaughter and often used to quarrel with his wife for dowry. The relatives also informed UT that Vikram is an alcoholic and used to torture his wife; due to his this misbehavior, Gopsingh has lodged complaint at Nai Police Station few days back.

Today, when Gopsingh was standing near Rajiv Gandhi Park with his son Lehar Singh, the alleged accused Vikram appeared suddenly and repeatedly stabbed Gopsingh in his stomach and chest.

Although Lehar Singh tried to rescue his father, Vikram managed to escape from the scene.

According to the police, the cause of an attack could be family problems. Police is on search for the accused.
