Elderly woman murdered at Ayad
A 75-year-old woman, resident of Bekni Pulia, Ayad was murdered by an unidentified person. An important document related to property was found missing.

Modi Bai, a widow and had no children, was living at Meghwal Basti near Ganesh Temple, Ayad. Her body was found by her tenant Tejmal at around 6pm on 21 Oct, Tejmal immediately informed police.
Upon checking it was found that a property related document was missing while other valuables including gold jewelry remained untouched. This indicates that the reason behind murder is land dispute.
The victim woman was allegedly hit by a wooden bat on head and due to profuse bleeding, she died.
According to initial investigation, it was found that since Modi Bai was alone, she used to get monthly financial help of Rs.1000 by her brother in law Chenram who is staying at their paternal house at Village Sakeria Kheda. Chenram met Modi Bai five days back when he gave her Rs.3000.
Police informed that the victim was hit repeatedly from bat which is commonly used for washing clothes.
All senior police officials inspected the crime scene and the body was shifted to mortuary for postmortem. A case is registered against unknown person.
