A senior citizen lady has been robbed of by two fake policemen, the incident took place at Hiran Magri on Tuesday while the victim was going to the nearby bank. Police has registered the complaint and launched manhunt.

According to the information, the victim, 77-year-old Rekha Mogra, resident of sector 4 Hiranmagri was heading towards Bank of Baroda Branch when two men on motorcycle, posing as cops approached her and asked her to remove all ornaments she was wearing and keep it safe in her bag as it is very risky following recent chain snatching incidents.

Acting on the suggestion, the victim removed her jewleries and kept it in bag, but somehow, the fake cops managed to take the 20gm of gold bangles and fled away before the victim could understand that she is robbed. Rekha Mogra informed the locals about the incident who further called police.

Investigation of the matter is started and barricading was done on major entry-exit points of the city but the accused are still absconding.
