An incidence of attempt of loot at an Automated Teller Machine vestibule came in light on Wednesday at Naharmagra area of Dabok. The accused attempted to break the ATM machine of SBBJ but they failed to steal cash from the machine amounting to around Rs. 10 Lac.

According to the police, the unidentified accused attempted to steal cash from the SBBJ ATM but fled after failed attempt.

The locals of the area informed the bank management about the mishap after discovering it on the next morning. Later the area manager of Mphasis Ltd. that deals in loading cash in the machine, Shiv Prakash Mishr also rushed to the scene from Jaipur and lodged an FIR against the accused, police added.

In the initial investigation of the matter the police learnt that an amount of Rs. 10 Lac was loaded in the machine out of which Rs. 8,77,400 was left and the rest was withdrawn by the account holders. The remaining amount was safely removed from the ATM and the hunt of the accused has been started, Police added.
