The cancer ward of MB Hospital was targeted by suspected thieves on Tuesday night. However, the night guards rushed to the ward after hearing noises and the accused fled from the scene.

Dr. Narendra Rathore MD (Radio Therapy), Asst Prof informed that on Tuesday night at 12.30 am, the accused entered the ward by breaking the glass of the back gate. Upon entering, they broke locks of 3 rooms where stationary, computers, printers and very important documents were kept. The guards patrolling the area, heard the noises and rushed to the scene. The accused fled away without stealing anything.

Dr. Rathore further said that the unit is under CCTV surveillance except the area the accused targeted. Thankfully, the cash collected was deposited the same day in bank. Also no piece of the machines were stolen which are worth crores.

According to him, a committee has been formed by the Principal of RNT Medical College which will investigate the matter and present a report to the administration. A complaint will also be lodged at the police station.
