Due to the alertness and courage of Kunjbala Sharma (45), two suspected men, dressed as policemen, failed to rob her. However, the conmen ran away immediately after sensing danger but Kunjbala’s act is a lesson for everyone who could be victim of such thugs.

Kunjbala Sharma, resident of Udiapol is a teacher at a private college and also an active member of Rural Congress. Today morning, when she was on her way to the college, a young man approached her and introduced himself as cop. Soon, another man came and testified the identity of first person who approached her.

Both asked her to take off all her ornaments as it was risky due to the incidents of chain snatching.

On this, Kunjbala started questioning the ‘fake’ cop about his belt number, uniform and police station where he is posted. Confused by her questions, the cop asked her designation, when she introduced herself as a congress leader, the fake cop started touching her feet in respect and asked her to leave.

This reinforced Kunjabala’s doubt as no policeman can act in such way while on duty. When she turned back, both disappeared.

Kunjbala Sharma lodged a report at Bhopalpura Police Station; police has started searching for the thugs.
