An incident of firing was reported early morning today at Bhopal Pura area. Two of the accused fired on Vimal Bhatnagar after mistakenly identifying him as Mukesh Jain who lives near Bhatnagar’s house.

Police found a bullet shell from the spot and started investigation to nab the culprits. CCTV footage was also found from a camera equipped at nearby house.

According to the sources, the suspects were looking for Mukesh Jain, who owns steel business and also trade in property, Jain resides at P-Road Bhopal Pura.

The suspects, by mistake, went to the house of Vimal Bhatnagar, an employee at Rajasthan Diesels Sales and services and asked who Mukesh Jain was.

Probably out of annoyance, Vimal told the suspects that he is Mukesh Jain. In no time, one of the accused took out a gun and shot at Bhatnagar. He survived unhurt.

Hearing the voice, neighbors woke up and gathered near the house of Bhatnagar. Soon police was informed and senior police officials including S.P, DY.SP and C.I of Bhopalpura Police Station reached the spot and started investigation.

According to a senior police official, “A cctv footage was received which could lead to the accused. The investigation is still going on. Prima Facie, it is assumed that the attack was caused due to property related issue. However, Jain denied any dispute or threat on his life.”

Vimal Bhatnagar told police that early morning he heard some voices. He woke up and went to main gate. At the same time his elder brother Rajesh who stays with him also came out. Two people asked him about Mukesh Jain who stays at the nearby house.

Soon after the incidence Vimal went to the house of Mukesh and informed him about the incidence, both of them immediately called police.
