An incidence of firing was reported at Gusia colony of Kishanpol area last night. Fortunately, nobody was injured in the incident.

The reason of firing as per Police was related to the issue of withdrawing an old case registered in the names of accused.

Victim Iqbal Rahi Alias Kalu of Gusia colony informed police that, the accused came to his house and pressurized him to withdraw the case from their names. When the victim refused to do so, one of the accused Farooq opened fire on him. Luckily the bullet passed inches away from him and he got saved.

A team including the SHO of Surajpol police station Ramesh Kumar and Dysp Goverdhan Lal rushed to the scene but the accused fled away, as per police.

Iqbal has registered a case against the accused Kalam, Saeed, Rais, Farooq and Babu of the area for firing on him. He also informed that two months back, same team of accused had attacked him near his house in which he got injured, where the bullet passed away touching his back, informed police.

Police has started the investigation after getting the report from the victim.
