More than half a dozen people got injured in firing incident that occurred today at Village Ghatera, Nimbaheda over land dispute. All injured are residents of Ghatera and admitted in MB Hospital for treatment.

More than half a dozen people got injured in firing incident that occurred today at Village Ghatera, Nimbaheda over land dispute. All injured are residents of Ghatera and admitted in MB Hospital for treatment.

The villagers, Aqeel Sheikh, Yusuf Khan, Anwar, Aijaz, Habib khan and two unknown women were injured in the clash when the accused Amar Singh and Ratan Singh Rawat with around 200 people tried to acquire the victim’s land.

According to the victims, a man named Munshi of the same village sold 3 Bigha land for Rs.18 Lac to Amar and Ratan two months back but the accused made fake land documents and converted the three bigha land to 58 bighas, which included land of the villagers.

Today Amar Singh and Ratan Singh came to the village with around 200 people to acquire the land. When villagers resisted, the accused opened fire on them.

Both accused are absconding and a large police force is deployed in the village.
