5 goons including a history sheeter with weapons were arrested by the Ambamata police while they were planning to execute loot in the city. The weapons were confiscated and they were charged under various sections of IPC.

The accused identified as Mohammad Soaib, Abid alias Bhuria, Suno, Mohammad Saddam and Aslam were rounded up by the team of Ambamata police and Special Task Force from Charak Hostel, situated at Ambamata.

The cops received a tip-off that the group was sitting in silver colored Skoda car while planning for loot. Before they could execute their plan, the cops arrested them with their weapons, said S.I Shabbir Khan.

Sub Inspector further informed that upon their arrest, it was found that one of the accused Aslam was a history sheeter of Ambamata police station with more than 40 cases registered against him. The cops are now interrogating them for further information.

During the search, cops seized one revolver, one pistol, two country made pistols and a Rampuri knife.
