Former Employee Mastermind attack; 5 arrested for Firing at Businessman
Police has arrested five people for firing and trying to rob a Mullatalai based Businessman on the evening of 16th May. Out of five, one of the accused had worked at the victim’s workshop for few months.
Police has arrested five people for firing and trying to rob a Mullatalai based Businessman on the evening of 16th May. Out of five, one of the accused had worked at the victim’s workshop for few months.
The businessman, Lalit Kothari, was attacked by a group of men who also opened fire at him but Kothari escaped unhurt.
Four of the accused, Shakeel alias Bhayyu (24), Arif (20), Hussain (19) and Anvar (20) are residents of Sajjan Nagar slum colony while the fifth accused, Saddam (21), is a resident of Jatwadi.
Shakeel was employed with Kothari but left this job, as a welder, after working for two months. During interrogation, Shakeel alleged that Kothari used to spread false rumors about him in market because of which he was not getting job anywhere.
This frustrated Shakeel and he made a plan with another accused Anvar who also brought a pistol for Shakeel.
Shakeel confessed that on the day of incidence, they opened fire at Kothari’s shop and their motive was only to threaten him.
On the basis of the information provided by Shakeel, all the other accused were caught by police and the bikes used by them were also seized.
