Surajpol police arrested 4 accused on Friday under the charge of stabbing one of their neighbors over a prolonged issue between them.

The accused Salman Mohammad (18), Sameer alias Mugli (19), Mustafa Sheikh (18) and Altaf (19) are residents of Gusia colony and were arrested by the police from the same area as they were absconding since Thursday night after a fight with their neighbor Iqbal Rahi.

The mishap occurred when the argument turned into a brawl and the accused boys violently stabbed the neighbor with a sharp knife. Few minutes later, the police was informed about the mishap and the injured victim Iqbal was rushed to the MB Hospital for treatment.

On the other end, the search operation began in the city to nab the accused and after hours of effort, the accused were arrested on Friday morning and booked for assaulting, stabbing the victim, as informed by SHO Jitendra Anchaliya.

The police is interrogating the accused, trying to recover the knife used to stab the victim.
