Goverdhan Vilas police arrested 4 burglars including a history sheeter from sector 14 area during night patrolling. The accused accepted committing 2 dozen thefts and burglary in various areas of the city.

The accused in their initial interrogation revealed that they committed crimes in Goverdhan Vilas, Sukher, Ambamata, Bhopalpura, Risabhdeo including few areas of Kakroli village of Rajsamand District.

The accused were identified as Mobin, Kamlesh, Nanda and Madan of Indra colony. The accused informed police that they used to locate deserted or vacant houses and later target them for cash, ornaments and valuable items. During the interrogation, it was found that Mobin is a history sheeter of Goverdhan Vilas police station and has several cases of assault and theft registered in his name.

On Tuesday night during the patrolling in sector 14, the police identified the accused. Seeing the team approaching towards them, the criminals tried to flee but after a chase were caught by the police, said Station House officer Abdul Rehman.

Rehman informed that the gang of accused had stolen gold & silver ornaments worth Lac Rupees and huge amount of cash with other articles as well from the houses.

The interrogation of the accused is still on and the cops are now attempting to recover the stolen items from the accused, said police.
