Gariyawas Man duped of Rs. 40,000

In an anticipation to get handsome monthly amount for installing a mobile tower over his house, Lal Singh Chundawat of Gariwas has become a victim of mobile-tower-scam and lost Rs.40, 000 which he has paid to an allegedly fraud mobile phone company in the name of registration.

A case of fraud has been lodged by Lal Singh at Surajpol Police Station and police has started investigating the case.

On 7 January 2012, Lal Singh s/o Kesar Singh Chundawat came to know about the mobile tower installation through an advertisement published in a newspaper. He called the number which was said to be of a woman named Pallavi who introduced herself to Lal Singh as an employee of a reputed mobile company whose office is located in Mumbai.

As per the police, she had offered Rs.25, 000 per month and Rs.10 lakhs as deposit if Lal Singh let them install mobile tower on his property.

Overwhelmed by the hefty proposal, Lal Singh agreed and asked for procedure. Pallavi, an alleged self proclaimed employee of the mobile company asked Lal Singh to deposit Rs.40,000 in a bank account of Punjab National Bank and asked him to send some documents and she promised to get the work done soon.

After depositing the money, Lal Singh waited for the response for more than a month. When he tried to call Pallavi and her subordinates in Mumbai, the phones were found to be switched off.

Later on 15 February, Lal Singh Chundawat lodged an FIR at Surajpol Police Station about the miss happening.
