Advocate Bharat Ajmera was stabbed by a group of assailants after the Advocate reprimanded them for rash riding in a residential area.

Bharat was rushed to hospital with several cuts and bruises on his chest, face and hands. The police lodged a complaint against the accused Vishnu Teli and his aides.

The incident of assault took place last night at Chandpol, when Teli and his friends were riding on their motorbikes. Advocate Ajmera who was standing near his house objected on the rash riding and scolded the gang.

Fumed over the remarks made by Bharat, the goons who were loaded with sharp weapons attacked him and fled away.

Senior police officials including DySP Murlidhar rushed to the hospital and met the victim. A case of assault has been registered against the accused Vishnu Teli and his associates, said a police officer investigating the case.
