Police has arrested 26-year-old Shubham and his brother 19-year-old Sonil Jain for allegedly committing theft at their grandfather’s house at Ashok Nagar. The report of theft was lodged on 1st February by the victim Dharamchand Jain.

Police has arrested 26-year-old Shubham and his brother 19-year-old Sonil Jain for allegedly committing theft at their grandfather’s house at Ashok Nagar. The report of theft was lodged on 1st February by the victim Dharamchand Jain.

An investigation team was made under the direction of S.P Ajaypal Singh Lamba and both the accused were arrested today.

As per police, the accused are addicted to drugs and alcohol and also had heavy debts on them. They committed the crime to return the debt and to have a good time.

Police said, “After stealing money and jewelries from their grandfather’s home, the duo bought an expensive mobile phone and traveled to Goa and Mumbai with friends.”

Shubham created a scene of theft to avoid any doubt by their grandfather. He intentionally climbed on the roof, broke iron grill and entered in the house. They stole gold and silver ornaments and lacs of rupees cash. At the time of theft, their parents were not at home.

Police is trying to recover the precious jewelries which was sold to some people in Udaipur and Mumbai.
