Shoib Hussain, resident of Qaumi Ekta Nagar, Ambamata, was arrested by Hathipol Police last night after he allegedly threatened a shopkeeper at, Bhopalpura Matt, to capitulate his shop.

Police action followed after the complaint lodged by shopkeeper Rajesh Khatri, who was subjected to continuously threaten by Shoib, a habitual criminal and relative of wanted Rashid. Shoib was also accused in Imran Tokio’s murder.

According to SHO Hathipol, Goverdhanlal Khatik, after getting complaint from Rajesh Khatri, the police team reached Bhopalpura Matt where Shoib was already present, seeing police he ran away in narrow lanes, but after following him for more than a kilometer, police succeeded in chasing him.

In the initial interrogation, Shoib confessed of threatening Khatri, says police.
