A truck driver was robbed on the N.H.8 near Karpina Village last night. A group of robbers looted Rs.38,000 cash, a gold ring and a sliver bracelet from the victim and fled away.

The truck driver, Devendra Singh from Aligarh was carrying a consignment of coolant from Himachal Pradesh and was going towards Mumbai. At midnight, while passing through Village Karpina, Singh slowed down the truck after noticing stones placed in the middle of the road.

Suddenly a group of men came inside the truck. They smashed the victim before robbing the cash and jewelry.

Victim truck driver reached Goverdhan Vilas Police and lodged the complaint against the accused.
