With the arrest of a History Sheeter and an aid of hardcore criminals Naresh Harijan and Dinesh alias Kau on Saturday, Udaipur police is claiming to have seized 5 illegal weapons within 10 days. 

While performing their task under a special anti illegal weapon drive of SP the jawans of Special Task Force got a tipoff that a suspect would come to Dudhtalai area within minutes. Executing a raid at Dudhtalai a joint team of Ghantaghar police station and STF nabbed the suspect with a country made pistol and 2 live bullets in his custody. Upon interrogating him he was identified as Vishnu alias Dhulu Sindhi of Machla Magra area, SP Rajendra Prasad Goyal said.

According to SP the accused Vishnu is a History Sheeter and a close aid of hardcore criminals Naresh Harijan, Dinesh alias Kau and Karan Singh. He used to finance these criminals in many ways. Moreover he had recently helped Kau in getting bail under a case of illegal weapon supply.

Police confiscated the illegal weapon and bullets from the arrested accused and booked him under various sections of Arms act. Police is now interrogating him further in relation of possession of the weapon and its seller, SP added.
