A history sheeter of Dabok police station was arrested with an illegal pistol near Udaipur Airport by the joint team of Special Task Force and Dabok Police on Saturday. The accused, who has around 12 criminal cases registered in his name, was arrested during a barricade situation.

Accused Shankar Choudhary of Meetha Neem area of Dabok was nabbed by the police based on the information from the sources. The joint team launched a barricade near the Airport and members including Gopal Singh Bhati, Yashpal, Prahlad, Akhilesh, Salim, Ganesh, Dharmendra and Yogesh of STF arrested him with an illegal pistol in his possession.

The accused tried to flee from the scene after seeing the cops but after a chase, was arrested under the sections of Arms Act, informed Dabok Police.

The illegal pistol was confiscated from the accused and he was rushed to the police station for further interrogation.
