A home guard on night patrolling at Sector 14 was subjected to alleged abuse and his motorcycle was set on fire by a group of suspected youth, who were consuming liquor by the roadside. One of the accused involved in the abuse is a son of a female police constable.

According to Manish, the victim home guard, he was on night patrol with his colleague and saw a group of youth having liquor; when Manish asked them to end their illicit activities, the youth allegedly smashed the home guard and his colleague.

The incident occurred after midnight of 24^th June at S2 Block of Sector-14.

Both home guards ran for their life leaving their motorcycle on the spot. The accused youth allegedly burnt the bike. Home guards rushed to Goverdhan Vilas Police Station and lodged FIR against the accused.

One of the accused was identified as Sanjay Meena, whose mother is a police constable at Bhopalpura Police Station.
