Girls belong to West Bengal, Delhi, Assam, Uttarakhand and Uzbekistan. Owner of Hotel Tuborg was also involved in the gang rape case of 3 March, which is still under investigation.

Udaipur police conducted a synced raid across three locations in Udaipur and arrested 19 persons including seven girls involved in a prostitution racket.

A team of police officers and constables from Goverdhan Vilas police station raided Hotel Tuborg at Transport Nagar in Goverdhan Vilas, near Balicha. The hotel owner, Om Prakash, s/o Chandra Prakash, along with 1 customer, 2 hotel employees, 2 girls and 3 agents were arrested.  This arrest was made after a police constable under the guise of a customer went to the hotel and demanded service. On getting the agreed signal, the team raided the hotel and arrested the above persons, booking them under PITA.

To be noted, Hotel Tuborg was one of the institutional quarantine centers during the COVID19 lockdown in Udaipur. The hotel owner Om Prakash, was also involved in the gang rape case of 3 March 2020, where one of the defendants in the case was his employee. Om Prakash is also said to be running an event management business.

Two other raids were conducted by officers of the Sukher police station simultaneously.  Hotel Royalty, located at Bhupalpura, was raided by officials of Sukher police station. 3 agents and a girl were arrested after it was found that they were involved in flesh trade business.

Sukher police team conducted another raid in Hotel Ram Lakhan, which is located on the Udaipur – Gogunda road. 4 girls and 2 agents were arrested from here and charged under the PITA Act.

A few of the girls who were arrested, had come to Udaipur after the lockdown ended.  The girl from Uzbekistan was in Delhi since January this year, and the agent brought her to Udaipur 2 days ago.

Police also recovered illegal liquor at these locations and the same has been confiscated.

Raids were conducted under the orders of SP Kailash Chandra Bishnoi. Raid were conducted under the supervision of ASP Gopal Swarup Mewara. Team consisted of Chenaram Pachar, CI, Goverdhan Vilas;  DSP Chetna Bhati; DSP Sudha Palawat; DSP Prem Dhandhe; Head Constables Mukesh Chaudhary and Vikram Singh; Constables Govind Singh, Dalaram, Nimbaram, Asha Meena, Sukhdev, Tapendra, Yogesh Kumar and Vikram.
