Hotel Association of Lal Ghat area has lodged complaint against local auto rickshaw drivers for allegedly disturbing peace in the area, misbehaving with foreign tourists and parking their rickshaws outside their hotels.

On the other hand, the auto rickshaw drivers have also complaint against the hoteliers for assaulting them and forcing them to leave the area.

Lal Ghat, one of the popular destinations among tourists, especially foreign tourists is witnessing a large number of tourists these days.

A hotel owner, on condition of anonymity said that, “Both hoteliers and auto drivers earn their livelihood from the tourists. Hence, instead of fighting, both should mutually understand the importance of their business and respect tourists so that they could feel safe and comfortable.”

Auto drivers alleged that hotel owners often abuse and sometimes even assault drivers for no reason. They simply want rickshaw drivers to be seen nowhere near the area.
