Sukher police has caught illegal liquor worth more than Rs.20 Lacs during the checking drive and arrested two people with the consignment and booked them under the Excise Act.

The accused, Virendra Patel resident of Kurabad village and Lalu Ram Patel resident of Salumber were coming towards Udaipur from Haryana and they were heading towards Banswara to deliver the consignment of the liquor.

When they reached near Amberi, the police acting upon the tipoff stopped the truck, and during the search police found 1150 cartons of liquor. When no satisfactory documents were found relating to the consignment it was seized and both the accused were arrested and shifted to Sukher police station.

During the initial interrogation the accused revealed that they were going to deliver the liquor in Banswara.
