Illegal liquor worth Rs. 45 lac was caught by police at around 8.45 pm last night of 29 Dec. while a Nakabandi was laid by the police upon receiving a tip-off. The driver and accompanying spotter have been arrested, along with the truck and brought to Hiran Magri Police station.

Harpal Singh Yadav, resident of Mundia Kera, Haryana and Amin Khan, resident of Karda Muhalla, Jaipur were caught while they were carrying 745 cartoons of liquor, worth in lacs, at Savina in a police check post.

The checking had been strengthened upon receiving information from an internal source last night, that a truck carrying illegal liquor will pass by Pratap Nagar and go towards Gujarat, said Police.

According to the police, the liquor caught by police is Haryana made and labeled with different brands; when the truck was caught, a fake bilti of fodder was found with the documents.

The truck been registered in the name of driver Harpal Singh; both the accused are arrested and kept at the Hiran Magri Police Station.
