City Police have arrested a man in possession of illegal weapons.  The arrest was made from Bhopalpura area yesterday and accused was identified as Kamal Od, resident of Ambamata.

Under the direction of S.P Ajaypal Lamba, the Police is continuously working on busting the illegal weapon racket in the city.

According to SHO Chandmal of Bhopalpura Police Station, the team received information that a suspect is standing near Jodhpur Dairy and has a weapon in his possession.  In no time, the police team rushed to the spot and apprehended the suspect.

During interrogation and further investigation, it was found that Kamal purchased the weapon for Rs. 25,000 from Pradeep Harijan and has a record of being a habitual offender.

“We have arrested the accused under Arms Act and have started further investigation” said Chandmal.
