In a swift move by the Surajpol police, the history sheeter of the station was arrested with a country made pistol and a live bullet before he could use it for the execution of his plan. The accused has been arrested under the sections of Arms Act and the weapon with the bullet is seized.

Accused Sanjay Singh alias Sattu, residing near Government Press Colony of Surajpol was nabbed by the police on Sunday afternoon after the sources informed them. According to the sources, he was seen near his house with a country made pistol in his possession. Reacting on the information, Surajpol police raided the area and arrested the accused. The weapons and the bullets were seized, said SHO, Ramesh Kumar.

Ramesh Kumar further informed that the history sheeter of the station, Sattu has around 13 cases against him under loot, burglary, theft and Arms Act. Athar Khan, Samsy Singh and Rohitash were the active cops behind the arrest of the accused.
