The city of lakes was stunned on Wednesday after the unidentified thieves committed day light theft at three different parts of the city. The accused stole cash, ornaments from the houses after which the police got into action and started the investigation.

The city of lakes was stunned on Wednesday after the unidentified thieves committed day light theft at three different parts of the city. The accused stole cash, ornaments from the houses after which the police got into action and started the investigation.

Out of the three incidences, one of them was committed at the Udai Apartment where within a short period of 17 minutes time, the thieves decamped with 300 gm of gold and silver ornaments from the house of victim Yashwant Singh Ganna (Jain) staying the first floor. The accused got face to face with the victim but the thieves somehow managed to flee from the scene, said police.

In another incidence of day light theft, the accused targeted a house situated at sector 13, Goverdhan Vilas, owned by Mahaveer Jain. The offenders stole 150 gm of gold ornaments and took away Rs. 20,000 cash from the house.

On the other hand, another group of thieves stole Rs. 20,000 cash from the house of Saaji Matthew, situated at Sayyam Apartment in Swami Nagar, Sukher, informed police.

Taking incidences of theft seriously, the police came in action and launched barricading at various areas of the city. The FIR has also been lodged and the investigation has started.
