In the initial interrogation, Anil Mali alias Anil Sharma (35), Pratap Singh (36) and KishanDangi (28) accepted possession of three pistols and live bullets with them.

DySP MadhuriVerma added that two female police constables – Namrata and Kusum played an important role in nabbing the accused. When the police raided the location, Kishan Singh tried to escape the scene, but the female constables took a run and nabbed the criminals after putting up a fight.

Adding to the information, it also came to light that one of the accused, Anil Mali was using false identity and living as Dr. Anil Sharma in the village.

SP Ajaypal Lamba showed real concern regarding the increasing number of arms cases. He said that, majority of accused nabbed in such cases are young lads who either purchase firearm to showoff or to take revenge in petty issues. He appealed to parents to keep a close eye on their young ones.
