Journalist assaulted by Goons

Kaushal Mundra, chief reporter of Rajasthan Patrika was assaulted by a gang of youth last night. Kaushal received facial injuries. A case is registered against the accused who are probably residing in a hostel near Surajpol.

A group of journalists under the banner of Lakecity Press Club demanded strict action against the accused boys and also demanded to shift the hostels to some other location. A memorandum for the same was given to higher police officials.

According to Kaushal, last night when he was going home, he saw two boys injured and lying unconsciously. Doubting a mishap, Kaushal tried to help them but suddenly a group of boys came there and started beating him.

During the assault, Kaushal also lost his gold chain and the accused took his motorcycle to a hostel located nearby.

Somehow Kaushal managed to call police and he was shifted to hospital for treatment.
