An incidence of murder after kidnapping of a 5 year old girl came in light on Thursday at Chirva village of Udaipur district. In the initial investigation police found that one of the relatives of the victim is allegedly involved in her murder.

The dead body of the victim girl Jina was found, spotted by the locals in the jungle of the Chirva village Thursday afternoon who later informed the police. A team of Sukher police shifted the dead body to the mortuary for its postmortem and also informed her relatives.

According to in charge of Sukher police station Mangi Lal the dead body of the minor girl was found lying under a tree. The body was uninjured except for marks of strangulation on the neck. During the initial investigation it was found that the minor girl was missing from her house since one of her relatives Hukmi took her with him on August 18 in the name of dropping her at grandparent’s house in Chirva village. But when she didn’t turn up even after 2 days, her relatives started the search as the relative Hukmi Chand was also missing.

Prima Facie police is considering it a murder and suspecting Hukmi Chand for committing the crime. The hunt to arrest the absconding accused is still on. Police is also curious to know the cause of death which will be revealed after the postmortem report. A case of murder has been lodged, said Mangi Lal.
