Kotra Police has seized 423 boxes of illegal liquor stored in a godown at Village Mamer. One person is arrested in the case while three accused are absconding.

Police has been strictly checking illegal storing or selling of liquor as the elections are approaching nearby.

Acting on the tip off, a godown located at Mamer Village, Kotra was raided by police team. During the raid an accused Rupa Gamar tried to escape but was caught and detained by the police.

During initial interrogation, Rupa informed police that the liquor belongs to Nathulal Khatik, Bhanwarlal Kalal and Manoj Khatik and all three have license to sell liquor.

Flying Squad of Jhadol which is specially deployed during election also arrived at the place of raid and took information from the police. The total worth of the seized liquor is said to be of Rs.15 Lac.
