The Lakadwas Rape victim accompanied by a group of supporters led by leader of the opposition (ZilaParishad) Maniben Patel reached the office of Inspector General of Police and handed over a memorandum. The victim also met district collector.
The victim told I.G GN Purohit that, she was gang raped on the night of incident. She told that 6 to 7 people raped her while police has arrested only two.
Demanding CBI investigation of the case, Maniben Patel has alleged that police is protecting the accused and forcefully took the statement of the victim who is a widow.
The letter stated that, police made one person accused of the rape and other as his accomplice. However contrary to this, the medical report of the victim is showing severe injuries in her private parts which confirms that she was raped by more than 1 person.
The victim, resident of Badi Sadri is from Dangi community. She hired a ferry auto on 23rd June to Lakadwas. According to the first report, the auto driver HeeralalKalbeliya allegedly raped her in the auto.

The supporting women demanded compensation for the victim and government job which could help her. They also demanded immediate arrest of the rest of the accused.
