An incident of theft has been reported at Ambamata Police Station in which the thieves have stolen gold worth more than Rs.1 Lakh and Rs.50, 000 cash from a house at Malla Talai, when the members of the house were out to attend a marriage function at Debari from the evening of Saturday, 25th Feb. The incident could have taken place on Saturday night i.e 25th Feb.

Sharif Khan has lodged an FIR of theft at 8:30pm that his house located at 121 Farooq-e-Azam Colony has been looted by thieves and 4.5 tolas of gold ornaments and approximately Rs.50, 000 cash is reported missing.

According to Sharif Khan, the family was at a relative’s house at Debari at the time of incidence. When they returned at 7:30 pm on Sunday, everything was looking normal till they entered into the house and found that the house was ransacked.

The thieves did not forcibly enter the house; instead they jumped off the main gate and broke the doors. It was when the family checked the rooms that they came to know about the occurrence.

Sharif and his family members has not refused to the possibility of someone known involved in the theft.
