Liquor Truck Stolen, Driver Abducted

A truck driver and his spotter were allegedly abducted by unknown men and their truck full of liquor was stolen. Later, the truck was found lying at Dabok, while both victims were found in Chittorgarh’s Dungla village.

 

A truck driver and his spotter were allegedly abducted by unknown men and their truck full of liquor was stolen. Later, the truck was found lying at Dabok, while both victims were found in Chittorgarh’s Dungla village.

The liquor consignment that belongs to Excise Department of Jhalor was taken into the custody of Dabok Police and handed over to Gogunda Police as the incident occurred in Gogunda police jurisdiction.

According to police, on 13th June, Mohan, the driver and his spotter Khet Singh, both residents of Jaisalmer moved from Madri Road No.5 in their truck full of 550 cartoons of liquor to deliver it to the Excise Department of Jhalor.

As they reached near Gasiyaar, near Isvaal few people stopped them by calling themselves as Security Officers and wanted to check the truck and asked for the receipt; in moments ahead the group covered the faces of both driver and spotter and took them away.

The kidnappers left the victims in the morning at around 4:30 at Dungla, Chittorgarh.

Getting the information of theft and kidnap, Superintendent of Police, Udaipur ordered check posts and the truck was found near Mandesar Village, Dabok lying at lonely place on the corner of the road, the truck was taken into custody by Dabok police and handed over to Gogunda police, but the kidnappers remain to be a mystery for police.
