Locals Arrested with Pistol and Live Bullets
Udaipur police arrested 4 persons including an arms dealer on Sunday, 22 February. They were Police nabbed them while they were purchasing a country made pistol along with 6 Live Bullets from the Arms dealer, for Rs. 25,000.
Udaipur police arrested 4 persons including an arms dealer on Sunday, 22 February. They were Police nabbed them while they were purchasing a country made pistol along with 6 Live Bullets from the Arms dealer, for Rs. 25,000.
The weapon was seized and the accused were booked under various sections of the Arms Act.
Acting upon the information of sources, police raided the Swaroop Sagar area of the city, where all 4 accused were trapped in the act. They tried to escape when they saw the cops, but they were chased and rounded up, said SHO Hathipol Police, Ramesh Sharma.
The accused were identified as Mujjafar alias Gogga, Mohammed Husain, Saddam Kankroli and Vijay Pasvan. When they were frisked, a country made pistol and 6 live billets were recovered, the SHO said.
In the police interrogation, accused revealed that Gogga was about to purchase the pistol from Vijay in order to take revenge on Manjoor Shah over an old dispute. The accused were caught when they went to take delivery.
All accused are notorious criminals and having various criminal cases registered in their names across the city police stations, as per SHO.
