Two people were arrested from Banswara for selling the stock of Papaya which was looted from a truck on Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway on 22nd Feb. Police also recovered Rs.35000 cash from the accused.

One shocking revelation made by both accused, Sharafat and Mazhar is that they sold the stock under the direction of Munir who is an under trial prisoner lodged in Udaipur Central Jail.

Munir instructed both from jail to sell the looted stock in wholesale market.

According to Udaipur police, on 22nd Feb, six people allegedly abducted a truck driver and his helper from Balicha and looted their truck loaded with Papaya. The accused later released the victims and fled away with the stock.

During interrogation, Sharafat and Mazhar denied their role in the loot and said that, they were only involved in selling the stock. Now, police is searching for other accused involved in the loot.
