LPG Tanker accident at Debari claims two lives
A duo of father and son died in a road accident that took place at Debari area of Udaipur on Friday after a speeding LPG tanker hit their bike from behind and got overturned on the road. The traffic of the area remained effected for more than 2.5 hours. Later the tanker was shifted from the road with the help of cranes.
A duo of father and son died in a road accident that took place at Debari area of Udaipur on Friday after a speeding LPG tanker hit their bike from behind and got overturned on the road. The accident took place on Friday at Debari near the power house when the bikes of the victim Kundan Mal Jain (60) and his son Harish (40) of Kheroda village was hit by a speeding tanker filled with LPG heading towards Chittorgarh.
After hitting the bike, the tanker lost control and overturned. Upon information, a team of cops including AdSP City Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj and SHO of 4 police stations with DySP Subhagya Singh immediately rushed to the scene. Also, 4 cranes and 3 fire tenders were called on the scene for help.
The dead bodies were shifted to mortuary while the relatives of the deceased were informed and the efforts to shift the tanker off the road started, police said. Looking at the sensitivity of the mishap, the traffic of the area was diverted and the electricity supply was stopped for a while.
