Main Accused in Extortion and Physical Assault cases arrested
The Hiran Magri Police, in the evening on 6th December, arrested an accused in a case of assault and subsequent physical injury, that occured on the night of 2nd December. Five of the accused were already arrested the day after the incident, while the sixth, Vinod, who was absconding since then was arrested yesterday evening.

Vinod alias Bakri s/o Goverdhan Lal Gujjar resident of Lal Magri is a habitual criminal and has quite a few cases registered against him at different Police Stations of the city. He has recently been released from Central Jail, Udaipur and immediately two more cases were registered against him, one each at Hathipol Police Station and Hiran Magri Police Station.
The case at Hiran Magri Police station was registered by Kapil Mahawar, resident of Sector 3 and owner of a food corner situated near his residence. On the night of 2nd December, Vinod (Bakri) along with Shanti Lal, Gopal Pardesi, Suraj Pardesi, Bapu and Ram Lal attacked Kapil, his brothers Dinesh and Rahul and sister Hemlata with sticks. Both of Kapil’s brothers and his sister Hemlata received serious injuries and were admitted to MB Hospital, while Kapil sustained minor injury, said the police.
Further, according to the police, ‘all the other accused were arrested by the police a day after the incident, while Vinod, who was absconding was arrested yesterday from Kalka Mata road around 7 pm.
Vinod was also wanted in a case at Hathipol Police Station for threatening Hitesh Parmer for money. Raju, one of the co-accused in this case was arrested on 3rd December 2012.Vinod has now been arrested and will be presented in court and taken on three days remand for both of the cases.
