The accused man who stabbed his uncle to death was arrested by Ambamata police on Thursday night in the late hours from bus stand.

The accused Nikunj Ameta (25) and his uncle Tarun Ameta were in a drunken state and got into a heated argument at their house, situated at Nati Ghat, Bhrampol. The argument turned into a brawl, after which in the heat of the moment, Nikunj attacked his uncle with a knife, said Ambamata police.

After stabbing the victim severely, Nikunj fled from the scene. The relatives of the victim rushed him to the MB hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was shifted to mortuary, police added.

Acting upon the information, the police team consisting of SHO Jitendra Anchaliya, Narayan Singh and Shabbir Khan started the verification. After a hunt of the accused, Nikunj was arrested late at night during the raid.

He was shifted to the police station where the cops are interrogating him further, as per police.
