A man accused of killing his wife was found hanging from a tree in the forest of Dhavrivela, situated near Harmiya village of Lasadia. The incidence came to light when one of the villagers went to the forest and found the dead body.

The man was identified as Lalia Meena of Harmiya village, who was on run since 20^th March after he beat his wife Lali to death.

Police informed that on 20^th March, Lalia started to beat his wife with a rod over an issue. During the brawl the wife sustained severe injuries and succumbed to them. The accused fled from the scene leaving his wife unattended. His brother-in-law lodged an FIR against him for killing his sister soon after which the police started searching the accused husband.

The dead body of Lalia was shifted to the mortuary for postmortem. The investigation of the matter is still in process, added police.
