Man accused of Murder in 2011, set Free

After more than a year of trial, a man accused of murder was set free by Udaipur Court today after no strong evidence was found to prove the allegation.

The accused, Mohammad Rais, resident of Madri was arrested on the charges of murder that took place on April 20, 2011 near Commerce College. The victim, Nadeem was shot dead and police arrested Mohammad Rais on the very next day.

Since then, Rais has been lodged in Central Jail. Advocate Ravindra Hiran (in photo) who took Rais’s case said, “My client was innocent and justice has been done. He will now be released from jail.”

The court headed by ADJ 2 Satyanarayan Vyas, heard the proceedings and after going-through all the evidences and substantiation presented by Adv Hiran, pronounced Mohammad Rais not guilty for the murder of Nadeem.

According to Hiran, the victim Nadeem and his client Mohammad Rais were relatives and they did not have any dispute with each other. Rais was picked up and lodged in jail just on the basis of suspicion.
