Man who tried to sell the Jain Lord Adinath’s 1000 years old statue was arrested by police on Monday.

Man who tried to sell the Jain Lord Adinath’s 1000 years old statue was arrested by police on Monday.

During interrogation, the accused Rajesh Yadav confessed that he obtained the statue from a businessman in Rajsamand. Although the main source of the statue is still unknown. It is assumed that it must be stolen from a museum or a temple somewhere in India.

Special Team Head CI Abdul Rehman informed that the accused Rajendra aka Raju has a workshop at Thokar Circle. The accused said that he was given the statue from one Premshanker Kumawat of Rajsamand to sell off for worth Rs. 4 Cr.
