A farmer working in a farm near Moti Kheda area of Gudli Industrial Area was in for a big scare when he saw a body lying partially buried in an adjacent land. Seeing the body, the farmer informed the owner of the land as well as the Police who rushed to the spot.
On digging it out and seeing the condition of the body it was believed that the man was killed by somebody 3-4 days back and after that his body was buried under the ground to hide the murder. There was a piece of rope around the man’s neck.
This incidence has taken place in the main RIICO Industrial Area at Gudli.
C.I Jitendra Singh informed that the body of the deceased man was pulled out of the ground and shifted to the mortuary in the presence of SDM Mavli,Ghan Shyam Sharma and DySP Jaswant Singh. FSL team also reached the spot and have taken samples of blood soaked sand from the ground, a few snaps of the scene and the body as well. A knife was also found by the police from the scene.
Prima facie, it was assumed that accused killed the man choking his neck using a rope and then buried him in the ground. The face was also unrecognizable, which means that the knife was used to scar the face.
Other marks on the naked body show that the body was dragged for quite a distance before being buried. However, more conclusive evidence of death will be confirmed only after the postmortem which will be done today morning.
Police has lodged a case against the unknown accused and started their investigation.
